Make Way for King Jesus

April 4, 2023

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. Zechariah 9:9

"Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. See, your King is coming, seated on the colt of a donkey." John 12:15

The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

“Hosanna to the Son of David.”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

“Hosanna in the highest heaven!” Matthew 21:9

A challenge: You will do well to read the final chapters of each of the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They will lead you into an understanding of the final week from the time Jesus and the eleven faithful disciples departed from the Last Supper until Our Lords resurrection from the tomb and His ascension to His eternal throne in Heaven where He sits at the right of God, our heavenly Father.

Events in the final week.

                                The King is Coming

The marketplace is empty,

No more traffic in the streets,

All the builders' tools are silent,

No more time to harvest wheat,

Busy housewives cease their labors,

In the courtroom no debate,

Work on earth is all suspended.

As the King comes through the gate.

O the King is coming,

The King is coming!

I just heard the trumpets sounding,

And now His face I see,

O the King is coming,

The King is coming!

Praise God, He's coming for me!
