The Never-Ending, God-Given News is the Good News

They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is
the Lord of lords and King of kings---and with him will be his called, chosen and
faithful followers. Revelation 17:14 NIV
We are bombarded with what the world calls news. Pick up a daily paper, switch the television or radio on and we are inundated with accounts of robberies, murders, mass shootings, rape, thievery, wars, political scandal, etc. This doom and gloom reporting dominates “the news”.
However as born-again believers and followers of the Lord Jesus we have God’s Holy Word, the Bible, as our source for the eternal Good News.
John the Baptist expressed the good news when he saw Jesus:
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” John 1:29
Jesus’ final words before He ascended into Heaven were the Great Commission to all true believers:
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 NIV
As faithful followers, we have, not only the command but also the blessed privilege, to be broadcasters of the never-ending, God-given Good News.
Share The Good News. Here’s a simple outline of the Good News we are privileged to share.
1 God Loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life.
2 Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore, he cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for his life.
3 Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life
4. We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; then we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.
