The Well is a not-for-profit, Bible-centered ministry founded in 2022 by Dahlia Fraser, writer and Bible teacher of Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Frank Gillham, retired Baptist Pastor of  Rockwall, Texas.  The purpose is to help readers find refreshment from the Word of God by providing weekly devotionals.

Dahlia Fraser

Dahlia grew up as a country girl in rural Jamaica in the community of Mt Nebo, where her father served as a Baptist pastor. Her mother taught at the local primary school. As a child Dahlia loved reading and exploring the outdoors with her siblings.

Dahlia attended the University of the West Indies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. For several years she worked in the publishing industry, first with Scripture Union and later with Government and private sector companies.

Feeling the need for a change and desiring to be more equipped to serve the Kingdom of God, Dahlia moved to Toronto Canada in 2005 and attended Tyndale Seminary. She graduated in 2008 with the MTS (Masters in Theological Studies).

After 10 years in Toronto Dahlia returned to Jamaica to be with her aging parents. She attends the Ocho Rios Baptist Church where she serves as lay preacher, small group leader, and counsellor among other roles.

Dahlia enjoys the countryside, friends, Bible study and reflection and continues to be in awe of the goodness and greatness of God. She desires that people everywhere will experience the freedom Jesus brings and fulfil the wonderful purposes he has ordained for them.

Frank Gillham

Frank grew up as a PK—Preachers Kid.  His dad pastored small town West Texas churches and his mom taught English in local High Schools.  After graduating from Crosbyton, Texas High School, Frank entered Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Feeling God’s call to preach led to a career path that required additional preparation.  He entered Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas where he earned what is now called a Doctor of Ministries Degree.  Shortly after graduating from the Seminary, he and his family entered missionary service in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and Japan. During the years in Japan, Frank studied for three years at The Tokyo University Naganuma School of Japanese Language and Oriental Culture. After returning for pastoral service in the United States, He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by a Bible College in Florida.

Frank has been privileged to serve as pastor in churches in Texas, Arizona, Florida, and Japan.

He has led Bible based Disciple Stewardship process training courses in two hundred and eighteen churches in eleven states and nine countries.

His beloved wife, Ann, went to her Heavenly home in 2020.

Frank is the father of four children: Mark (deceased), Douglas, Marsha, and Carol.  He has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Frank desires to encourage fellow believers and to introduce as many as possible to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
